Thaze Competition will complete the remainder of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season with Road to Indy driver Josh Green joining Marc Miller in the team’s Mercedes-AMG GT4.
The 21-year-old New York native, who won the Team USA Scholarship in 2019, competed in Indy NXT competition last year with HMD Motorsports.
He will team up with Miller in the GS class entry beginning with March’s round at Sebring International Raceway.
“I’m extremely excited about jumping into sports cars with Thaze Competition,” Green said. “I have followed the Michelin Pilot Challenge closely for the past few years and was impressed by the performance and results in their two IMPC outings last season.
“Brian and Faisal are stand up guys and I’m excited to be a part of their program! Their plans and aspirations are big and they have the necessary understanding of motorsport to reach their goals.
“Above all they are both die-hard race fans who want to do right by talented drivers; that was my biggest draw to the squad.”
Miller kicked off the team’s 2024 program with a third place GSX class finish in the opening round of VP Racing SportsCar Challenge at Daytona earlier this month.
“Josh and I have a lot in common, following a traditional path of karting, open wheel and now sports cars,” said Miller.
“He has shown he has the talent already so I am ready to help him change his focus to heavier cars with less downforce. I believe we will be strong contenders from the get go.”
Green added: “Having Marc Miller as an in-house pro will better assist me in the transition from high-downforce formula cars into sports cars, and I have every belief that we will make for a strong driver pairing.
“I can’t wait to get to work prepping for Sebring and flying the Thaze Competition banner.”
