Cameron Quickest in Warmup

Dane Cameron showed the way for Acura Team Penske in morning warmup for Motul Petit Le Mans and Road Atlanta.

Cameron’s fastest lap in the No. 6 Acura ARX 05 of 1:11.863 was 0.201 seconds faster than second place Ryan Dalziel in the No. 2 Tequila Patron ESM Nissan Onroak DPi. Jonathan Bomarito was third for Mazda Team Joest.

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing took the top spot in GT Le Mans with Ryan Briscoe in the No. 67 Ford GT edging the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R of Marcel Fassler by 0.548.

Wolf Henzler was quickest in GT Daytona for Park Place Motorsports in the No. 73 Porsche 911 GT3 R, followed by Christopher Mies and Robert Renauer for Montaplast by Land Motorsport and Wright Motorsports, respectively.

No. 38 Performance Tech Oreca 07 Gibson of Kyle Masson made wall contact on the front straight which resulted in damage to the car. He managed to limp the car back to the pits and the session continued without a stoppage.

The No. 912 Porsche 911 RSR also hit trouble, returning to the pits with rear bodywork damage midway through the session.

The green flag for Motul Petit Le Mans is scheduled for 11:05 a.m. local time from Road Atlanta.
