Michael Christensen will return to the wheel of Alegra Motorsports’ Porsche 911 GT3 R in next weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, Porsche has confirmed.
The 26-year-old Dane will team up with Daniel Morad in the No. 28 entry after missing the last two IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship events due to his full-season commitments in the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans with the works Porsche GT Team.
Porsche Young Professional Mathieu Jaminet filled in for Christensen in the rounds at Circuit of The Americas and Detroit, finishing seventh and tenth, respectively, in the GT Daytona class.
The Florida-based team, which claimed class honors in January’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, currently sits fourth in the GTD title hunt, 28 points behind the class-leading Riley Team AMG entry of Jeroen Bleekemolen and Ben Keating, which are coming off a DNF at Detroit.
The full entry list for the third round of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup is expected to be released on Wednesday.
