The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship takes to the streets of Detroit’s Belle Isle for the fifth round of the 2017 season this weekend.

Continental Tire Keys to the Race: 

Race: Chevrolet Sports Car Classic

Track: The Raceway at Belle Isle Park

Length: 1 hour, 40 minutes

Entries: 28 cars spread across three classes: 10 cars (P), 3 cars (PC), 15 cars (GTD)

Schedule:

Friday, June 2 (all times ET)
Practice 1 – 8:30 – 10 a.m.
Practice 2 – 1 – 2:30 p.m.
Qualifying – 4:55 – 6 p.m.

Saturday, June 3
Warm-up – 8 – 8:20 a.m.
Race –  12:40 – 2:20 p.m. (1 hour, 40 minutes)

Previous Winners: Wayne Taylor Racing (P), Starworks Motorsport (PC), Riley Motorsports (GTD)

Previous Polesitters: Christian Fittipaldi (P), Robert Alon (PC), Bryan Sellers (GTD).

Driver Insight:  “Belle Isle is a track that I love to go to – I won there the last two times I’ve been there in LMPC. It is very bumpy and challenging. I love street tracks and I think that it’s a place where the driver can make a bit of a difference rather than at tracks where there is a lot of run off.” – Renger van der Zande, Driver No. 90 Visit Florida Racing Riley Mk. 30 Gibson

Drive Times: Minimum: 30 minutes for PC/GTD Silver/Bronze drivers;  Base time (all drivers): 30 minutes; Maximum: None

Tires: Continental Tire “Black” for P, PC and GTD.

Pit Stops: 40-45 minute stint length for P, PC; 50-55 minutes for GTD

Weather: Partly Cloudy, High: 72 F, 20 percent chance of rain
