Mike Conway and Ritomo Miyata have been added to the Vasser Sullivan Racing lineup for next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The pair complete the Lexus team’s roster of drivers across its pair of RC F GT3s for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship curtain-raiser on Jan. 27-28.

Conway returns to the No. 14 GTD Pro class entry, sharing driving duties with full-season pairing Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat as well as Kyle Kirkwood, while Super Formula and SUPER GT champion Miyata joins Frankie Montecalvo, Parker Thompson and Aaron Telitz in the No. 12 GTD car.

Toyota Hypercar regular and FIA World Endurance Championship title-winner Conway makes his second Rolex 24 appearance for Vasser Sullivan following this year’s race, in which he, Hawksworth and Barnicoat secured third in the GTD Pro class.

“I’m really looking forward to being back with Vasser Sullivan in the Lexus again for the Rolex 24,” said Conway.

“Jack and Ben had a really solid year, winning the championship, so it will be good to be back with those guys again. I’m looking forward to having Kyle  in the car with us as well.

“It will be good to have another crack at Daytona. We came up short last year, but hopefully we’ll have things stronger for us. I can’t wait to get back on track in January at the Roar. Looking forward to working with everyone again.”

For Miyata, the Rolex 24 will be his first-ever race outside of Japan, barring a pair of Macau Grand Prix outings in 2017-18, serving as preparation for his upcoming twin campaigns in Formula 2 and the European Le Mans Series.

However, the Japanese driver is no stranger to the Lexus RC F GT3, which he drove in SUPER GT’s lower GT300 class in 2018-19 for LM Corsa.

“First, I want to say thank you to the Vasser Sullivan team, Lexus, TRD and Gazoo Racing for giving me this opportunity,” said Miyata, who gained additional mileage in the RC F in last week’s IMSA-sanctioned Daytona test.

“The Rolex 24 at Daytona will be the first time I’ve competed internationally outside of Japanese motorsports so I’m very excited and looking forward to working with the team.”
