Daniel Goldburg will return to United Autosports for his second IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season with the team next year.
Announced on Saturday, Goldburg is the first confirmed driver in the Anglo-American squad’s two-car Oreca 07 Gibson effort, which was previously announced to be returning to the LMP2 class.
The 46-year-old Bronze-rated driver currently teams up with Peugeot factory driver Paul Di Resta, although the identity of his co-driver for the 2025 season has yet to be announced.
Goldburg, Di Resta and Bijoy Garg teamed up for a podium finish in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in March.
“I was thrilled to sign with United for this year and I want to thank Richard [Dean, United CEO] and the team for the confidence to sign me up for next year,” said Goldburg.
‘We all agreed that we’re building momentum and our best strategy for success next year is to keep as much of the current team together and just keep the party going.
“Solidifying this now helps us to put all the pieces in place as early as possible to line up the best possible 2025 season.”
Dean added: “It’s fantastic news that Daniel is continuing with United Autosports USA.
“Looking at his track record, it’s easy to forget that this is his debut season in the LMP2 class.
“He has established himself as one of the strongest qualifiers in the IMSA field, a deserved podium placer at the legendary Sebring 12 Hours and he is, I have no doubt, on track for a win.
“I think 2025 is going to be very exciting.”
