JDC-Miller Motorsports has been eliminated from Motul Petit Le Mans approaching the halfway point after a heavy crash by Loic Duval that also involved Vasser Sullivan’s Aaron Telitz.

Duval’s No. 5 Cadillac DPi-V.R. came together with the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 driven by Telitz at Turn 4, leaving both cars smashing into the tire barrier on driver’s left.

The Frenchman had recently pitted the car from the lead of the race, having vaulted up ahead of the four-hour mark when pitting briefly before a previous caution triggered by the No. 54 CORE autosport Ligier JS P320 Nissan of George Kurtz.

Duval then crashed and caused the race’s sixth caution right as the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura ARX-05 came in and Brendon Hartley handed over to Filipe Albuquerque.

As a result, Albuquerque now sits at the head of the field, leading the No. 31 Action Express Cadillac of Mike Conway and Oliver Jarvis’ No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura.

Chip Ganassi Racing sits in fourth and fifth with Ryan Hunter-Reay and Renger van der Zande, while the No. 48 Action Express Cadillac of Mike Rockenfeller is a lap down after multiple setbacks.

Tristan Nunez leads LMP2 in the No. 11 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports Oreca 07 Gibson ahead of Fabio Scherer’s No. 20 High Class Racing Oreca.

The No. 52 Oreca, an early front runner in the hands of Ben Keating, was eliminated when the Texan crashed hard at Turn 1 in the third hour of the race.

Andretti Autosport’s No. 36 Ligier JS P320 Nissan meanwhile leads LMP3 in the hands of Josh Burdon.

In the GT ranks, a class split under a previous caution has seen almost the entire GTD field leap ahead of the GTD Pro contingent.

Turner Motorsport currently to runs at the head of the field and leads GTD, with the No. 96 BMW M4 GT3 driven by Robby Foley ahead of the No. 70 Inception Racing McLaren 720S GT3.

Daniel Serra, meanwhile, leads GTD Pro in the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 from Kyle Kirkwood in the No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus.

Corvette Racing and Pfaff Motorsports, two contenders for class victory, have fallen behind when both cars suffered punctures after contact when Matt Campbell attempted to pass Antonio Garcia.

The No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R GTD, now driven by Nicky Catsburg, sits fifth behind WeatherTech Racing’s No. 79 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo and the No. 25 BMW M Team RLL entry.

The No. 9 Pfaff Porsche 911 GT3 R, meanwhile, has fallen back to seventh with the No. 23 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in sixth.
