Alex Lynn is out front of the Motul Petit Le Mans heading into the final three hours of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season finale.

The Chip Ganassi Racing driver holds a 21.553-second lead over the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura ARX-05 of Ricky Taylor, just as the race’s seventh full course caution was called for a heavy accident by the No. 99 Hardpoint Porsche 911 GT3 R of Rob Ferriol.

It came after two-and-a-half hours of green flag running time.

LMP2 is currently being led by the No. 8 Tower Motorsport Oreca 07 Gibson of Rui Andrade, who holds a narrow advantage over the No. 11 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports entry driven by Josh Pierson.

Andretti Autosport leads LMP3 with Josh Burdon at the wheel of the No. 36 Ligier JS P320 Nissan.

GTD sees the No. 70 Inception Racing McLaren 720s GT3 of Jordan Pepper lead the way, with the top six entries ahead of the GTD Pro class-leading No. 25 Team RLL BMW M4 GT3 of John Edwards.

The No. 01 CGR Cadillac has lost further ground in the hours since, with a second penalty for not adhering to the minimum tire pressures by IMSA, as well as an off-course excursion by Renger van der Zande.

LMP2 title contender Era Motorsport, meanwhile, has retired its No. 18 Oreca after sustaining right-front suspension failure in the sixth hour.

There was also trouble for both the No. 27 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and No. 32 Team Korthoff Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, which entered the race first and second in the GTD championship standings.

Maxime Martin made multiple unscheduled stops with power cuts that appeared to be solved with a steering wheel change, while similar electrical issues having plagued Dirk Mueller in the Korthoff Mercedes.
