Kelly Moss Road and Race and Riley Technologies have joined forces for a planned two-car GTD entry into next year’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

The two organizations will link up to run a pair of new Porsche 911 GT3 Rs, with one confirmed for the Michelin Endurance Cup and the other poised to be a full-time effort.

Kelly Moss is stepping up to the GTD ranks after a successful stint in Porsche Carrera Cup North America presented by Cayman Islands, while Riley as a team finished second in this year’s LMP3 standings and also entered the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTE-Pro.

Their No. 92 Porsche will contest the four-round MEC with the driver lineup of Jeroen Bleekemolen, Alec Udell, Andrew Davis and David Brule, whose company Thu Brule Skin Care is sponsoring the car.

Kelly Moss and Riley are yet to name the drivers for their planned full-season GTD entry with the No. 91 Porsche, which is also of the new Type-992 generation.

The partnership also includes a Michelin Pilot Challenge program with a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR that Brule and Udell will share.

It builds on an existing collaboration on other automotive projects outside of IMSA-sanctioned racing.

“Kelly Moss has a long history representing the Porsche brand in various forms of customer racing, restorations and custom car builds,” said team co-owner Andy Kilcoyne.

“We really wanted to be part of the development of the new 992 GT3 R, but didn’t want to risk diluting our current racing programs.

“Having worked with Riley on many projects over the years, it was a clear and logical choice to partner with Riley on the WeatherTech and Michelin Pilot Programs.”

Riley President Bill Riley added: “It’s great to be continuing our strong relationship with Kelly-Moss and taking it to another level in WeatherTech and Michelin Pilot Challenge.

“Andy [Kilcoyne] and Victoria [Thomas] are superb to work with and our long-term goals align with one another.”

Kelly Moss Road and Race revealed plans for a two-car GTD operation in October.

The Wisconsin-based team will continue to run Carrera Cup cars alongside its new WeatherTech Championship tie-up with Riley.
