Porsche Penske Motorsport driver Felipe Nasr went quickest in a trouble-free warmup session for the 26th annual Motul Petit Le Mans.

Nasr steered the No. 7 Porsche 963 to a time of 1:20.007 and finished one second clear of Harry Tincknell in the Proton Competition Porsche.

All three drivers in the No. 7 Porsche Penske lineup, including Matt Campbell and Indianapolis 500 winner Josef Newgarden, turned laps in the short 20-minute run.

Only 23 of the 52 cars registered lap times, while several others conducted rollouts to check systems and setup changes.

Drivers were cautious to push their cars in greasy morning conditions but there were no incidents to report.

Both factory Penske Porsches turned multiple laps, with the No. 6 car setting the third-fastest time overall, but none of the other GTP cars did a complete lap of Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Most of them completed multiple out-and-in-laps only, whereas the Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06 did not run at all.

LMP2 pole-sitter PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports and GTD Pro qualifying leader Vasser Sullivan also kept their cars in the pits during the warmup.

Danny Formal was the fastest GTD driver, posting a 1:27.218 in the Racers Edge Motorsports with WRT Acura NSX GT3 Evo22, and finished ahead of GTD Pro leader Daniel Serra driving the Risi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3.

Anders Fjordbach registered a 1:22.118 in High Class Racing’s Oreca to lead LMP2, while Rasmus Lindh set the pace in LMP3 for JDC-Miller Motorsports.

The Motul Petit Le Mans gets underway at 11:40 a.m; EDT with live coverage on Peacock and IMSA Radio.
