Memo Rojas will be a late addition to Scuderia Corsa’s GT Le Mans lineup for this week’s Roar Before the Rolex 24 test, ahead of the team’s debut in class with the new Ferrari 488 GTE.

Rojas, who drove for the DeltaWing team in 2015 and has since been exploring his options for an LMP2 seat either in North America or Europe, will join Alessandro Pier Guidi, Daniel Serra and Alexandre Premat aboard Scuderia Corsa’s No. 68 car.

If he drives for the team in the race following this weekend’s test, it would mark Rojas’ first Rolex 24 start in the GT ranks.

Rojas has three overall wins in the race, coming in 2008, 2011 and 2013 driving with Chip Ganassi Racing.

“I am very excited about this great opportunity from Scuderia Corsa,” Rojas said.

“I want to make the most of it because we are talking about a [factory-backed] team from one of the most important sports car brands in the world, Ferrari.

“The Ferrari 488 GTE is an impressive-looking car and I’m looking forward to getting the maximum out of it.

“I have to thank Giacomo Mattioli, the team owner, for giving me this opportunity to be in this first test.”
