Jordan Taylor set the pace in a rainy final practice for the Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix at Road America.

The Wayne Taylor Racing driver laid down a 2:07.647 lap time in his No. 40 Cadillac V-Series.R, 0.165 seconds clear of Sheldon van der Linde in the No. 24 Team WRT BMW M Hybrid V8.

Nick Yelloly was third fastest overall ahead of teammate Tom Blomqvist in the pair of the Acura ARX-06s.

Felipe Nasr rounded out the top-five in the faster of the Penske Porsche 963s.

Roman De Angelis placed sixth in the No. 23 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Valkyrie.

Seventh fastest was Porsche Penske’s Laurens Vanthoor, with Marco Wittmann setting the slowest GTP lap in eighth with the No. 25 BMW.

Many of the fastest times were set in the final moments of the session as track conditions began to improve.

Seven cars elected not to participate in the one-hour 45-minute session, which was wet throughout.

The session saw a flurry of incidents as wet conditions caught out several drivers.

An early spin for Brendan Iribe in the No. 70 Inception Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo brought out the first red flag.

This incident halted proceedings in the opening 15 minutes which was exclusively reserved for FIA Bronze-rated drivers.

Jack Hawksworth suffered significant suspension damage when his No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 spun into a wall at Turn 6, bringing out the second red flag.

A third interruption was caused by George Kurtz in the No. 04 CrowdStrike by APR entry, who spun as conditions began to improve, beaching his Oreca 07 Gibson on a curb.

Wittmann brought out the final pause in proceedings with a spin into the gravel in the No. 25 BMW.

All four of the cars responsible for bringing out red flags will lose their fastest lap in qualifying later today.

Devlin DeFrancesco crashed into a tire barrier in the final ten minutes of the session in his No. 28 RS1 Porsche, but was able to continue on without bringing out a red flag.

In LMP2, Mathias Beche led the way in the No. 11 TDS Racing Oreca.

Harry Tincknell was 0.275 seconds behind in the No. 52 Bryan Herta Autosport with PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports entry, with Jonny Edgar and AO Racing completing the top-three.

GTD driver Casper Stevenson set the fastest lap of all of the GT3 field with a 2:21.498 lap from his No. 81 DragonSpeed Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R.

Christopher Mies was the fastest driver in GTD Pro with a late lap that was a mere 0.004 seconds slower in his No. 65 Ford Mustang GT3 EVO.

Just 0.038 seconds behind Mies was teammate Dennis Olsen and the No. 64 Mustang.

Qualifying is scheduled for later today at 3:25 p.m. CST, with the inaugural Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix kicking off at 10:40 a.m. CST on Sunday.
