The rain has intensified in the fifth of six hours in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen, which has brought out a red flag in the third round of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup with one hour and 29 minutes remaining.

Conditions varied around the 3.7-mile road course, with some parts of the track being hit with rain worse than others. By any measurement, the rain in the last hour was heavier than any of the rain that occurred on Saturday.

There’s a mix of standing water around the track, rivers running across the track and other water in pit lane.

Kuno Wittmer and Cameron Lawrence were among a handful of drivers trying to last as long as possible on slick tires as the rain came down.

When Lawrence pitted the No. 93 Riley Motorsports Dodge Viper GT3-R, it turned over the lead in GT Daytona to Andy Lally in the No. 44 Magnus Racing Porsche 911 GT America.

Ricky Taylor leads up front in the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP, with other class leaders Renger van der Zande (PC), Tommy Milner (GTLM) and Lally (GTD).

However, following a 14-minute red flag, the race is set to resume under yellow with roughly an hour and 15 minutes remaining.
