2017 Lamborghini ST Schedules Announced

The 2017 schedules for the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America, Europe, Asia and new-for-2017 Middle East championships have been confirmed, with Imola set to host next year’s World Final.

Confirmation of the calendars came Thursday in Valencia, site of this weekend’s final round of the season and World Final.

Next year’s World Final will take place on Nov. 16-19 at Imola, bringing the end-of-year championship back to Italian soil for the first time since the inaugural event at Vallelunga in 2013.

As has been the case in recent years, Imola will also play host to the final rounds of each continental championship.

The North American series remains unchanged, except for a date swap that sees Circuit of The Americas open the season in early May and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca close out the U.S. portion of the championship in September.

All races will again be run on IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship weekends, ensuring maximum exposure in the U.S. market.

The European series, which has seen record grids this year, will be on Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup weekends, with the exception of the season-ending Nürburgring round, which will be during the Sprint Cup event.

Lamborghini, meanwhile, has aligned with SRO Motorsports Group’s expansion to Asia, with all five rounds taking place on Blancpain GT Series Asia weekends.

The previously announced Super Trofeo Middle East series, meanwhile, will take place over three weekends in February and March, in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with more than 20 Huracán Super Trofeos expected.
