Lamborghini’s popular single-make championship will expand to a fourth region next year, with the Italian manufacturer announcing Monday the launch of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East series.

The three double-round winter championship, which kicks off at Yas Marina Circuit in February and concludes at the Dubai Autodrome in early March, is aimed to attract customer teams from Lamborghini’s existing European, Asian and North American championships.

“We are proud to announce the birth of this new championship in a strategic market for our brand,” said Head of Lamborghini Motorsport Giorgio Sanna, “to consolidate a strategy in customer racing, thanks to which we are enjoying considerable appreciation in the racing world, as witnessed by the record numbers generated by our one-make series.”

The Middle East series will run to an identical format as the other Super Trofeo championships, with two one-hour Free Practice sessions, a pair of 20-minute qualifying sessions and two 50-minute races.

The series will be open to only the Huracán Super Trofeos, with Pro, Pro-Am, Am and Lamborghini Cup classes, run according to the FIA driver ratings system.

Lamborghini Squadra Corse will provide logistics support for teams heading to the United Arab Emirates, with the Lamborghini Village Hospitality also being set up at each event.

2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Schedule:

Feb. 9-11 – Abu Dhabi
Feb. 16-18 – Dubai
March 2-4 – Dubai
