Enzo Geraci led the way for ANSA Motorsports after Thursday’s pair of Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America practice sessions at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The time, set early in the the 45-minute afternoon session, was 0.168 seconds quicker than the Practice 1 pace-setting No. 1 Wayne Taylor Racing entry of Danny Formal.

Formal’s co-driver, Hampus Ericsson, managed to set the second quickest time in the afternoon session, 0.349 seconds slower than Geraci’s benchmark.

Will Bamber’s 1:25.415 lap in the No. 29 TR3 Racing Lamborghini from the first session held up as the third quickest time of the day, followed by Trent Hindman’s 1:25.534 in the Pro-Am class-leading No. 69 WTR machine, which was fourth overall.

Darius Trinka completed the top-five overall in combined times in his Pro-Am No. 11 MLT Motorsports Lamborghini, in a time that was set in the second session.

The No. 10 WTR Lamborghini of Glenn McGee was quickest in the Am class, while the LB Cup pace setter after two sessions was the No. 57 One Motorsports entry of Nick Groat, who improved on his chart-topping time from the first session to go marginally quicker in Practice 2.

Practice 1 was marked by multiple off-track excursions, the worst of which resulted in a red flag when Clay Wilson made contact with the Turn 6 tire barriers in his solo-driven No. 37 TR3 LB Cup entry with nine minutes into the session.

The session resumed with less than 20 minutes remaining.

Earlier on, Sean McAuliffe went off track and made contact with the Turn 4 barriers, though he was able to continue on in his No. 46 Precision Performance Motorsports Lamborghini.

Late in the session, back-to-back on-track incidents occurred at Turns 13 and 12, respectively, though neither meaningfully interrupted the session.

Christopher Tasca also suffered a late spin in Practice 1 at Turn 9, but continued on in the No. 66 Forty7 Motorsports machine before going off again at Turn 14 and continuing just before the checkered flag.

Tasca ultimately brought out a red flag in the second session after an accident in Turn 4 near the halfway mark, although the session was quickly restarted with 23 minutes left on the clock.

Like Wilson, Tasca will have his lose his quickest qualifying time for bringing out a red.

Practice 2 started out with multiple incidents, with the No. 70 TR3 Racing Lamborghini of Dean Neuls off course in Turn 1, while the No. 8 WTR entry of Nick Persing spun and continued at Turn 12, but neither resulted in a red.

Augusto Soto-Schirripa spun his Pro class No. 68 RAFA Racing Team Lamborghini in Turn 12 following the resumption of action but continued on track.

Tasca, meanwhile, had a third incident of the day in the closing minutes of the second session, spinning his Lamborghini in Turn 12 after contact from the No. 63 TR3 entry of Mateo Siderman, who received a drive-through penalty for incident responsibility.

Multiple track limits violations were handed out in both sessions, with several drivers given drive-through penalties.
