Dennis Lind and Giano Taurino have claimed overall pole positions for this weekend’s pair of Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Lind, in the Pro class championship-leading No. 29 TR3 Racing Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, recorded a best lap of 1:24.017 in Q1 to edge out Pro-Am class pole-sitter Danny Formal by 0.185 seconds.

Formal’s Wayne Taylor Racing teammate Hampus Ericsson, in the team’s No. 1 Pro class Lamborghini, will line up third, with XONINE Racing’s Will Bamber and TB Autosports driver Kyle Marcelli, in the Pro-Am class, completing the top-five.

Anthony Bullock grabbed top Am class qualifying honors in his XONINE entry while Topp Racing’s Rocky T. Bolduc picked up the LB Cup pole.

A late-session incident between Bolduc and Paul Nemschoff, which saw the No. 41 WTR Lamborghini stranded on track after the checkered flag, was reviewed by race control and resulted in no further action.

Q2 had an early red flag for a spin by Martin Fuentes, who beached his No. 63 TR3 entry in Turn 4, which set up a four-minute shootout for pole honors.

Taurino, in the No. 88 Taurino Racing entry, had been on provisional pole before the red but improved to a 1:24.941 to edge out De La Torre, who also made an improvement, by just 0.009 seconds.

The No. 7 WTR Lamborghini of James Wallis will start Race 2 from third, ahead of Kiko Porto and Darius Trinka, who completed the overall top-five.

Wyatt Foster (Pro-Am), David Staab (Am) and Bolduc (LB Cup) picked up class pole honors for Sunday’s race.

The first Super Trofeo race of the weekend gets underway at 6:45 p.m. EST this evening, with Race 2 on tap for Sunday at 12:10 p.m.

Both 50-minute contests will be streamed live on Peacock as well as on both Lamborghini Squadra Corse and IMSA’s YouTube channels.
