***The Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America entry has increased to 36 entries following the addition of the No. 23 NTE Sport Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 of Christopher Tasca, in LB Cup.

***There have also been three class changes for entries, with the No. 8 Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Autosport Lamborghini of Nate Stacy and Nick Persing moved back to Pro-Am, while the No. 96 TR3 Racing entry of Billy Johnson and Todd Coleman has elevated from Am to Pro-Am, as expected.

***The No. 55 Forty7 Motorsports Lamborghini of Joel Miller has been moved to Pro due to Miller’s usual co-driver Brett Jacobson being unavailable this weekend due to work commitments. Miller told Sportscar365 that Jacobson should be back in action for the next round at Virginia International Raceway later this month.

***WTR Andretti’s Kyle Marcelli and Danny Formal, who head into the weekend undefeated in the Pro class with four wins out of four races so far this season, have not finished off the podium at Road America in their previous two years at the four-mile Wisconsin circuit, which included two wins in 2021.

***Lamborghini Palm Beach leads the dealer championship with its now-11 car stable comprised of Precision Performance Motorsports, Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Autosport, TR3 Racing and NTE Sport. Palm Beach holds an 81-point lead over second-placed Lamborghini Broward, with Lamborghini Austin currently sitting third, tied with Lamborghini Newport Beach.

***Valkyrie Velocity’s Dominic Starkweather is back in the Am class this weekend in his third different configuration in as many events. He landed on the podium in the class during his debut event, where he paired with co-driver Cam Aliabadi at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. During Rounds 3 and 4 at Watkins Glen International, he competed with Lamborghini GT3 Junior Driver Tyler Cooke in the Pro class.

***Starkweather has previous success at Road America, having finished on the podium in the Silver class of Pirelli GT4 America in 2022. “I had good success here last year in SRO with a podium and a top-five,” he said. “The track should be super fast and a little tricky with the repave but I’m excited for the challenge and the time in the car this weekend.”

***Flying Lizard Motorsports is split up this weekend between its four-car effort at Road America and multi-car entry in Nashville for the GT America powered by AWS event. Program manager Darren Law is helping lead efforts at Road America this weekend.

***On Friday, IMSA released the 2024 Super Trofeo North America schedule, featuring a return to Sebring International Raceway for the first time since 2015, as well as a visit to Circuit of The Americas in support of the FIA World Endurance Championship in September.

***Chris Ward, Lamborghini North America’s senior manager of motorsports, revealed that the Italian manufacturer is essentially already sold out of cars for next year, in what has seen capacity grids so far this season. “The series seems to be going from strength to strength,” he said.

***Qualifying is set to get underway at 10:20 a.m. CDT, followed by the first 50-minute race of the weekend at 3:50 p.m., and Race 2 on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. Both races will be streamed live on Peacock and IMSA.tv, featuring commentary from the IMSA Radio team of Brian Till and Jeremey Shaw.
