***Both BAD Lambo Racing entries bounced back nicely after accidents in the first race of the weekend, with Madison Snow (overall and Huracán Pro) and Jim and Josh Norman (Huracán Amateur) winning their respective classes in the Watkins Glen makeup round.

***Drivers that won both races on Saturday that have a chance for three-race weekend sweeps on Sunday include Corey Lewis (Huracán Pro/Am), Jake Rattenbury (Gallardo) and Brandon Gdovic (Gallardo Amateur).

***Final details of the 2016 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America calendar are being finalized, and may include possible new venues, per series coordinator Chris Ward.

***Ward also told Sportscar365 that 10 more Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2s have been allocated for the North American series next year, with nearly all already pre-sold.

***Matt Halliday has made a last-minute return to the series, now with GMG Racing for the James Sofronas-led team’s first start of the year. With Sofronas sidelined due to a back injury, Halliday has been called up. He arrived after an overnight flight for his first trip to the circuit, and co-drives with Jeffrey Cheng in the No. 88 Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2. The No. 88 car finished ninth and fifth on Saturday.

***Jordan Taylor has once again made a trip to Virginia International Raceway in an abnormal type of role. Taylor, who wound up pulling double duty in a CKS Autosport Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.R and a fill-in role for Corvette Racing last year, was coaching John DiFiore of Prestige Performance this weekend. However an accident for DiFiore in qualifying has sidelined the No. 10 Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 for the remainder of the weekend.

***There’s an outside chance Prestige could expand to add a third car for the upcoming Circuit of the Americas round.

***After running in separate cars at Watkins Glen International, Richard Antinucci and Edoardo Piscopo share the No. 50 O’Gara Motorsport Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 for this weekend only at the moment. Antinucci is in the championship picture while Piscopo, who joined the series at Watkins Glen, is not.

***The entry list is down to 23 cars with the Avid Motorsports entry of Angel Benitez Jr. and Nicholas Dickson, the No. 26 Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2, not here this weekend. Benitez is still running in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA series.
