Riley Dickinson claimed pole position for the opening Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America round of the season at Sebring International Raceway.

The Texan reeled off a 2:01.667 lap to set the pace in his No. 53 Kellymoss Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to edge out fellow Pro class competitor Jason Hart by 0.394 seconds.

JDX Racing’s Will Martin recorded the third fastest time of the 30-minute qualifying session with a 2:02.171 lap.

Porsche Payter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia mainstay McElrea Racing was fourth quickest while Wright Motorsports’ Varun Choksey rounded out the top five.

Dickinson has set the pace so far in Sebring, having led both of the morning’s practice sessions for Kellymoss and being the only driver in the field to dip below the 2:02 mark in qualifying.

Kellymoss’ Efrin Castro topped the times in the Pro-Am class in his No. 65 machine. His 2:03.135 lap was 16th fastest overall and edged out fellow class competitors Marco Cirone (ACI Motorsports) and Moisey Uretsky (Accelerating Performance).

Am class honors went to Scott Noble for MDK Motorsports.

The opening round of the season is slated for 9:15 a.m. ET on Thursday, with Race 2 set to go green at 5:35 p.m. ET. Live coverage for both races is available via Porsche’s new PorscheCarreraCup.us website, Peacock, IMSA.tv, and IMSA Radio.
