Riley Dickinson has clinched the Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America championship with four races still to spare, following his ninth win of the season and sweep of the weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Dickinson drove his No. 53 Kellymoss Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to a 5.127-second win over the No. 9 JDX Racing entry of Will Martin following an incident-filled Sunday round.

Contact at the start, triggered by the No. 17 McElrea Racing Porsche of Tom Sargent upon multiple other cars, resulted in the Australian receiving a drive-through penalty for incident responsibility.

It was followed by an issue for Pro-Am competitor Marco Cirone, who slammed into the No. 37 Kellymoss Porsche of Sabre Cook in Turn 7, which brought out a lengthy full course caution for track cleanup.

Contact between Jason Hart and Travis Wiley, while behind the safety car, knocked Wiley out of the race, with Hart handed incident responsibility.

Dickinson stretched his lead on the restart with 22 minutes to go en route to a record-extending victory and title clinch, ahead of the two season-ending events at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion 7 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and Circuit of The Americas the latter in support of Formula 1.

Alex Sedgwick completed the overall and Pro class podium in third, followed by Michael McCarthy and Dan Clarke, who rounded out the top-five.

Efrin Castro extended his lead in the Pro-Am championship following Cirone’s retirement, with Castro taking a sweep of the weekend, ahead of the No. 99 Kellymoss Porsche of Alan Metni.

The No. 10 MDK Porsche of Scott Noble also doubled up, taking Am class honors on Sunday to reduce his points deficit to teammate Mark Kvamme, who finished second in class.

RESULTS: Race 2
