Riley Dickinson will start this afternoon’s Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America race from the pole after edging out Will Martin for top qualifying honors this morning at the Miami International Autodrome.

The Kellymoss driver took his No. 53 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to a best lap of 1:56.014 in the 30-minute session, which ended early due to an incident for Elias De La Torre.

The Texan’s time was 0.330 seconds quicker than Australian Martin, driving for JDX Racing.

Dickinson heads into the weekend as the Pro class championship leader after wins in three of the four races so far this season.

Jimmy Llibre qualified third in the No. 74 MDK Motorsports Porsche, followed by McElrea Racing’s Tom Sargent and Varun Choksey of Wright Motorsports, who completed the top-five.

Pro-Am class pole honors went to the No. 65 Kellymoss Porsche of Efrin Castro, who qualified 15th overall, while MDK team owner/driver Mark Kvamme continued his run of dominance in the Am class by picking up another pole ahead of teammate Scott Noble.

Race 1 gets underway this afternoon at 2:05 p.m. ET, with the second 40-minute round of the weekend scheduled for Sunday at 12:15 p.m. ET. Live coverage will be available on Peacock, IMSA.tv and PorscheCarreraCup.us featuring commentary from IMSA Radio.
