Riley Dickinson was quickest in an accident-marred opening Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America practice session of the weekend at Road America.
The Kellymoss driver took his Pro class championship-leading No. 53 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to a best time of 2:09.705 in the scheduled 30-minute session, which saw only limited running due to an accident from the No. 8 McCann Racing Porsche of Michael McCann.
McCann was evaluated and released from the infield care center, per a Porsche spokesperson.
Dickinson completed only a total of seven laps in the session as a result of the lengthy red flag.
Alex Sedgwick ended up second overall, thanks to a 2:10.210 lap time in his No. 98 JDX Racing Porsche, followed by teammate Will Martin in third.
Dan Clarke and Michael McCarthy completed the top-five overall.
Pro-Am was led by the No. 65 Kellymoss Porsche of Efrin Castro while John Goetz laid down the benchmark in Am in his No. 57 Wright Motorsports entry.
A second and final practice session is on tap for 3:30 p.m. CDT.
