Dickinson Beats Sargent to Practice 2 at Road America

Riley Dickinson laid down a late-session flyer to go quickest in the second Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America practice session at Road America.

Dickinson, in the No. 53 Kellymoss Porsche 911 GT3 R, reeled off a 2:08.805 lap time in closing moments of the 40-minute session to edge out the McElrea Racing driver by nearly a second.

Jason Hart was third quickest in his No. 20 MDK Motorsports Porsche, followed by Thomas Merrill and Will Martin, who completed the top-five overall and in the Pro class.

PJ Hyett led the way in Pro-Am in his Kellymoss Porsche, setting the 14th quickest time in the process, while Scott Noble paced Am in his MDK entry that wound up 20th.

Thirty three of the 34 cars turned laps in the afternoon session, with Michael McCann’s Porsche the only non-runner following his accident in Practice 1.

Qualifying is set to get underway on Friday at 10:45 a.m. CDT, followed by Race 1 at 2:55 p.m., which will be broadcast live on PorscheCarreraCup.us, Peacock and IMSA Radio.
