Riley Dickinson scored his first career Porsche Carrera Cup North America presented by The Cayman Islands victory in an action-packed second race of the weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway that saw two of the three championship contenders crash out.

Dickinson took his No. 53 Kelly-Moss Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to a 0.462-second win on Sunday over teammate Kay van Berlo, who retook the points lead following a dramatic accident by Trenton Estep that collected Race 1 winner Parker Thompson on the second lap.

Estep, who entered the weekend third in the Pro class championship, appeared to have an issue with his No. 6 MDK Motorsports Porsche entering Turn 1, making contact with Thompson before ricocheting into the barriers.

The No. 11 311RS Motorsport Porsche of Dimitri Dimakos was also involved in the accident that brought out the race’s only full-course caution.

Both Estep and Thompson, who took over the points lead as a result of a post-race penalty to van Berlo in Race 1, retired from the 40-minute race.

It gave clear sailing for the Kelly-Moss duo to finish 1-2, with Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain driver Matty Graham, in his North American debut weekend, completing the podium in the No. 91 MDK Porsche.

Graham passed the No. 58 Topp Racing Porsche of TJ Fischer with 15 minutes to go, demoting Fischer to fourth, while Leh Keen completed the top-five in the No. 12 311RS Motorsport entry.

Van Berlo provisionally enters the final two two races of the season at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta with a 11-point lead over Thompson.

Efrin Castro completed a weekend sweep in Pro-Am, finishing ninth overall in his No. 65 Kelly-Moss Porsche, while Mark Kvamme went two-for-two in the Am class in his MDK Porsche.

NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon improved on his 20th place overall finish on Saturday to come home 16th in Race 2 in his Hendrick Performance Group-entered Porsche.
