Michael McCann will move to join Kellymoss for the remainder of the Porsche Carrera Cup North America season, starting at the upcoming round at Road America.
McCann contested the first four weekends of the season driving for McCann Racing, securing a best finish of fourth during Race 2 at Sebring International Raceway.
He currently sits ninth in the standings, having scored 56 points in the eight races completed thus far.
“The beginning of the season has been eye opening to everyone at McCann Racing,” said McCann.
“As a one-car team, there are many pros and cons, but we ultimately agreed that joining forces with Kellymoss offers the best chance of success in the series.
“I’m very thankful to the men and women at McCann Racing for their support in this decision and am looking forward to what the future holds with Kellymoss.”
With the arrival of McCann, Kellymoss further expands upon what is already one of the largest operations in Carrera Cup North America.
At the most recent round at Watkins Glen, the team entered seven cars for Loek Hartog, Jake Pedersen, Jordan Wallace, Efrin Castro, Alan Metni, John Goetz and Chris Bellomo.
“After a successful test with the team at Road America, it is clear that Michael is a solid fit,” said team co-owner Victoria Thomas.
“Culture is critical and he is exactly the type of person our team can enthusiastically rally around. That’s really important when you are working hard and putting in long hours on and off the track.”
Kellymoss CEO Andy Kilcoyne added: “One primary differentiator for a driver considering our team is the volume of data available to parse. This will be very helpful to Michael.”
