Porsche Carrera Cup North America teams have taken delivery of Porsche’s new-generation 911 GT3 Cup race cars ahead of the start of its debut season next month at Sebring International Raceway.

Twenty-three of the 992-type race cars were delivered on Friday at a facility near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, in the first batch release of the car to customers worldwide.

The new-for-2021 Carrera Cup North America is one of six Porsche single-make series globally where the new car is eligible to compete.

Among the teams to receive their new machinery included 311RS Motorsport, BGB Motorsports and Black Swan Racing.

A two-day open test at Sebring is scheduled for March 8-9 ahead of the pair of season-opening races on March 18-19 as part of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring weekend.
