Ryan Yardley will start this afternoon’s Porsche Carrera Cup North America race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve from the pole after taking his No. 77 Topp Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to the top of the time sheets in qualifying.
Yardley reeled off a best lap of 1:35.358 to edge out the No. 91 Kellymoss Porsche of Riley Dickinson by 0.248 seconds.
Jimmy Llibre was third quickest in the No. 2 ACI Motorsports entry, with teammate Yves Baltas fourth and Zachary Vanier completed the top-five for JDX Racing.
Tyler Maxson was sixth, followed by Matheus Leist and Michael McCann.
JP Martinez led a front-row lockout for ACI in Pro-Am, leading teammate Pedro Torres, while Scott Blind scored another class pole in Masters, aboard his Ruckus Racing Porsche, qualifying 19th overall in the 24-car field.
The No. 24 Kellymoss Porsche of Aaron Jeasonne did not set a flying lap after having contact with Maxson on the opening lap, resulting in suspension damage.
