OAK Racing Team Total will start from the pole in Sunday’s Three Hours of Zhuhai, the third round of the Asian Le Mans Series.

Ho-Pin Tung took the No. 24 Morgan-Judd to a best lap of 1:30.598, outpacing the nearest competition by nearly four seconds. Tung will team with fellow Chinese drivers David Cheng and Shaun Thong in the OnRoak Automotive-developed prototype.

LMP2 championship leaders KCMG did not take part in Saturday’s session as it awaits arrival of parts for their borrowed Oreca 03 Nissan. The Hong Kong-based team, which started the year with a Morgan-Nissan, expects to be on the grid tomorrow.

The No. 77 AF Corse Ferrari of Andrea Bertolini will start second overall and first in the GTC class, thanks to the Italian’s 1:34.565 lap time. Bertolini will share driving duties with Michele Rugolo and Steve Wyatt.

The lone GTE contender, the No. 70 Taisan Ken Endless Ferrari F458 Italia, was seventh and last overall on the time sheets with a 1:36.724 lap time.
