The No. 41 Zytek, driven by Tom Kimber-Smith, set the fastest lap time just 16 minutes from the end of the 90-minute session, after the No. 43 Newblood by Morand Racing Morgan Judd had been on top for most of the session.
Newblood by Morand Racing’s Christian Klien finished in second, four-tenths behind Kimber-Smith. The Austrian driver set his fastest time of 1:49.925 in the early stages of the session, before handing over to Romain Brandela and Gary Hirsch.
Unfortunately for the Swiss team the No. 43 Morgan Judd was unable to finish the session as it suffered left rear damage after Hirschi made contact with the No. 95 AF Corse Ferrari of Cedric Sbirrazzuoli.
Thiriet by TDS Racing was third quickest, only just beating Jota Sport, the fastest team in the first practice session.
AF Corse’s No. 55 Ferrari of Michele Rugolo, Matt Griffin and Duncan Cameron was fastest in GTE, almost a quarter of a second quicker than the No. 72 SMP Racing Ferrari of Andrea Bertolini, Viktor Shaitar and Sergey Zlobin.
IMSA Performance Matmut had been quickest for a large part of the session, but Nicolas Armindo’s time was finally beaten twice and the No. 76 Porsche ended the session in third place.
After a Russian Ferrari on top in the first session, it was one from Ukraine in session two. The No. 96 Team Ukraine Ferrari of Andriy Kruglyk, Sergii Chukanov and Alessandro Pier Guidi beat the No. 73 SMP Racing Ferrari and the No. 75 ProSpeed Competition Porsche, which had been fastest halfway through the session.
