Joao Barbosa has been announced as the third driver for Krohn Racing at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The reigning IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Prototype champion will join Nic Jonsson and Tracy Krohn in the team’s Ligier JS P2 Nissan.
Barbosa’s best finishes so far at Le Mans were a third in class with Level 5 Motorsports in 2011, and fourth overall in 2007 with Rollcentre Racing.
It will mark the Portuguese driver’s second consecutive Le Mans start with the team.
Olivier Pla, who co-drives with Jonsson and Krohn in the ELMS, has commitments with the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing program in GTE-Pro, and so won’t be available in the Krohn car.
