Larbre Competition will have its third different Bronze-rated driver in three races, as Romain Brandela has been confirmed for next weekend’s Six Hours of Shanghai.
The 42-year-old Frenchman, a veteran of GT3 racing, joins full-season driver Pierre Ragues and Ricky Taylor, who will complete the remainder of the championship in the team’s Corvette C7.R.
Brandela replaces Yutaka Yamagishi, who was sidelined at the Six Hours of Circuit of The Americas and replaced by Lars Viljoen, but took part in his home race at Fuji Speedway earlier this month.
Brandela’s last FIA World Endurance Championship appearance came at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2014, at the wheel of a Morand Racing Morgan LMP2 Judd.
No word has been given on the identity of Larbre’s third driver for the season-ending round in Bahrain.
