Ferrari will continue with an unchanged FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar lineup for its two-factory entered 499Ps in 2025, the manufacturer’s Global Head of Ferrari Endurance Antonello Coletta has confirmed.
Coletta revealed to media gathered at the Prancing Horse’s Finali Mondiali event at Imola that its lineup for the No. 50 and No. 51 cars “will be exactly the same,” adding: “We won [Le Mans] with both lineups. We are very happy.”
Reigning 24 Hours of Le Mans winners Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen will once more pilot the No. 50 car for the eight-round championship, while Antonio Giovinazzi is again set to team up with James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi aboard the sister No. 51 machine.
Fuoco and Molina recently signed new factory contracts as part of a round of renewals that also included Davide Rigon, Daniel Serra, Alessio Rovera and Lilou Wadoux.
In addition to the pair of Le Mans victories, the two factory Hypercar entries have collectively scored eight additional podiums across the first two seasons.
Fuoco, Molina and Nielsen come into the upcoming Bahrain season finale second in the Hypercar drivers’ standings, trailing the No. 6 Porsche 963 by 35 points.
Arthur Leclerc to Drive 499P in Bahrain Rookie Test
Additionally, Coletta confirmed that European Le Mans Series race winner and Ferrari development driver Arthur Leclerc is set for a Hypercar test outing during the post-season Bahrain rookie test.
The younger brother of current Ferrari Formula 1 star Charles has made his first steps into endurance sports car racing this season after transitioning from single seaters.
He took a maiden ELMS win with Panis Racing in the 4 Hours of Imola in July, while he has also been racing a Ferrari 296 GT3 with Scuderia Baldini 27 in the Italian GT Championship alongside Giancarlo Fisichella and Tommaso Mosca.
While next year’s lineup for the No. 83 Ferrari has not yet been confirmed, Coletta outlined that the 24-year-old is “not a choice for next year” despite his upcoming test.
“Our goal is to keep him growing so he will be ready to catch more opportunities in prototypes,” Coletta said.
“We want to help our drivers grow and we are doing the best we can.”
Furthermore, the Ferrari boss indicated that Leclerc is set to continue racing in GT3 machinery next year, noting that “it’s clear that our dream and his dream is to go ahead in the most important championship.”
