Four Super Trofeo Rounds on WEC Support Bill in 2024

Four rounds of Lamborghini Super Trofeo, including an event at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will be on the support bill for the FIA World Endurance Championship next year following the release of the 2024 Super Trofeo Europe calendar on Thursday.

As first revealed by Sportscar365 in July, the single-make series in two regions will shift to supporting the world championship that will see the Lamborghini Iron Lynx Hypercar class program in action, while continuing with the SRO Motorsports Group-organized Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS for selected rounds in Europe.

Super Trofeo Europe, the longest-running Lamborghini one-make championship, will be present at three WEC rounds next year, kicking off its season on home soil at Imola at the end of April, prior to trips to Spa-Francorchamps in May and Circuit de la Sarthe at Le Mans in June.

A month after Le Mans, Super Trofeo Europe returns to its roots, joining the support bill of Fanatec GT Europe Endurance Cup at the Nürburgring, before heading to Barcelona for the penultimate round.

The final round will be announced on the weekend of this year’s World Finals at Vallelunga.

As previously announced, the 2024 Super Trofeo North America schedule will also feature a WEC support event at Circuit of The Americas in September, while opening its season at Sebring International Raceway alongside the the Lamborghini SC63’s expected U.S. racing debut at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

Also confirmed on Thursday is the Super Trofeo Asia calendar, which does not feature any WEC support races, but with five events set throughout Asia and Australia, and will also close out its season at the World Finals.
