Nissan Releases First Official LMP1 Photo

Nissan has released its first official photo of its new Nissan GT-R LM NISMO, its LMP1 challenger that is expected to be revealed in full during Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Ariz.

The team posted an image to its Twitter accounts (now @NISMO instead of @NISMO_Global) on Thursday, with the message, “A new era is about to begin.”

Spy shots of the car had emerged from a test at Circuit of the Americas in Austin earlier this month, but Nissan has remained quiet on official photos until posting this shot of the car, which features a look at the rear end.

Nissan has also updated its ad plan for the Super Bowl, with the ad now growing to a 90-second length from its original plan of 60 seconds.
