The No. 6 Toyota TS050 Hybrid has been ruled out of the remainder of today’s track action at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez following Stephane Sarrazin’s heavy crash in Thursday morning’s Collective Test.

Sarrazin lost control of the LMP1 contender in the final corner and made heavy contact with the pit wall, which brought out one of two red flags during the 90-minute session.

While the Frenchman escaped injury, the car sustained monocoque damage, with the car currently being built up around a spare tub, which is on-site.

A Toyota Gazoo Racing spokesperson confirmed to Sportscar365 they anticipate the No. 6 car to return for Free Practice 3 on Friday.

Sarrazin is due to drive the car with Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi in Saturday’s Six Hours of Mexico presented by AT&T.
