Toyota Bounces Back, Buemi Quickest in FP3

After Thursday’s domination from Porsche, Toyota has bounced back in Free Practice 3, with Sebastien Buemi leading the way in final practice prior to qualifying for Saturday’s Six Hours of Circuit of The Americas.

Buemi reeled off a 1:45.712 lap time in the No. 8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid to go quickest of the weekend, more than 1.7 seconds faster than the No. 2 Porsche 919 Hybrid, which was second on the time sheets in FP3.

Both Porsches posted slower lap times from Thursday in the 60-minute morning session.

The No. 28 TDS Racing Oreca 07 Gibson of Matthieu Vaxiviere paced LMP2 with the No. 66 Ford GT of Olivier Pla quickest in GTE-Pro and Pedro Lamy again on top in GTE-Am in the No. 98 Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

Qualifying gets underway at 3:05 p.m. CT.
