On the heels of its most successful year to date, Sportscar365 has announced an expansion of its podcast lineup that will include the launch of a dedicated podcast network and integrations with leading multimedia and voice assistant platforms such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

“Daily Digest”, a first-of-its-kind sports car racing newscast, debuts today on the new sportscar365.fm network, alongside Sportscar365’s “Double Stint Podcast” which enters its fourth season with co-hosts Ryan Myrehn and John Dagys.

Additional content is planned on the network’s new “Special Reports” channel, which will include daily trackside updates from the 57th annual Rolex 24 at Daytona beginning on Wednesday.

Also new-for-2019, a Patreon page has been launched to help fuel further growth of the platform, including development of additional podcasts.

The launch of sportscar365.fm comes after a record-breaking year for sportscar365.com, which delivered 13 million page views and 1.3 million unique viewers, marking a 66 percent increase in traffic over 2017.

“We’re extremely excited to expand our podcasting efforts with the creation of sportscar365.fm,” said Dagys, who serves as executive producer and will be a regular co-host on multiple programs.

“As the media landscape continues to evolve, we’re constantly looking for new and improved ways to better reach the motorsports community.

“Podcasts provide a unique platform that’s in an easy-to-consume format for our busy lives and I’m convinced we’ll also be reaching new audiences with our expanded lineup and leading platform integrations.”

Hosted by versatile motorsports broadcaster Myrehn, Daily Digest delivers the top stories from the front page of Sportscar365 Monday-Friday, in a sub-three minute news format.

It is available on sportscar365.com, sportscar365.fm, iTunes, Google Play, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, TuneIn as well as being a Flash Briefing on Amazon Alexa-enabled smart devices, to add to your morning routine.

“The front page of Sportscar365.com is already a destination for the latest industry news,” said Myrehn. “Daily Digest is aimed at bringing that same content in a concise audio format to our subscribers.

“Sports car racing is a fast-paced industry and it can be a challenge to stay on top of everything. This new podcast will keep fans up to date on the latest news from around the world.”

Double Stint, which kicked off its fourth season earlier this month, will continue in a weekly format featuring race recaps, news roundup, a featured interview and listener questions, delivered to all leading podcatchers every Tuesday.

Additionally, an Amazon Alexa skill has been created along with Google Home integration, allowing users additional listening opportunities across multiple emerging audio platforms.

Users can enable the Sportscar365 Double Stint Podcast skill on Amazon Alexa and then ask Alexa to “Play Double Stint Podcast” for the latest episode. Google Home users can use the same command line to access episodes on all Google Assistant-enabled devices.

A recent study by NPR found that 21 percent of U.S. homes have at least one smart speaker, with the number of smart speakers in households growing by 78 percent from 2017 to 2018.

Sportscar365.fm Patreon Campaign Launched

As part of its expansion efforts, Sportscar365 has also launched a Patreon page (https://www.patreon.com/sportscar365) aimed to help grow the newly formed podcast network with support from the motorsports community.

Multiple membership tiers are available, which include unique opportunities such as exclusive weekly and monthly chat sessions with Dagys and Myrehn, trackside meet-ups and podcast appearances.

Pledges begin with as little as $1 USD per month, which will go directly to the network’s development costs for its current and planned expanded lineup of shows.
