Heart of Racing Team will continue its partnership with SPS automotive performance for next year, having confirmed entries in both the Michelin 24H Dubai and Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.
It will mark the third year of cooperation between the Ian James-led outfit and the German squad, which will see the team field a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in both events.
“We’re excited to continue our relationship with SPS automotive performance following such a successful collaboration over the past few seasons,” said James.
“Joining forces has enabled us to accelerate our learning curve of the Mercedes AMG GT3, which is a specialty for SPS.
“We have developed a great relationship between the two teams and now act as one when we compete in these big races together.”
For Dubai, James will be joined behind the wheel of the team’s Mercedes-AMG by Gray Newell, Zach Robichon and Hannah Grisham, the latter who steps up from Pirelli GT4 America competition with Heart of Racing.
The driver lineup for Bathurst, which opens the Intercontinental GT Challenge season, has yet to be announced.
“We are very happy to be collaborating with The Heart of Racing again in 2025,” said SPS team principal Stephan Sohn.
“The last two years together have been very successful and a lot of fun. I hope that the coming season will be just as successful.
“We are highly motivated to show a good performance on the track again.”
