The 2024 DTM season will start one month earlier than this year, as confirmed in the ADAC’s publication of an eight-round calendar for the single-driver GT3 series.

There is stability in terms of circuits, with the same eight venues from this year’s schedule being retained for the championship’s second term of ADAC stewardship.

However, the starting date and part of the circuit order have been adjusted, with Oschersleben due to kick the campaign off in late April rather than at the end of May.

The Lausitzring, which holds a mid-season slot this year, will become the location for Round 2 in May, followed by a trip to Zandvoort in the Netherlands two weeks later.

The Norisring is set to host the fourth round in early July, followed by fixtures at the Nürburgring and Sachsenring before a second non-German race at Austria’s Red Bull Ring.

The season is set to conclude at Hockenheim on October 18-20.

“It is important for the participants to be able to plan with certainty in good time,” said ADAC Motorsport director Thomas Voss.

“By confirming the calendar so early, we have allowed them to do so. The concept of the DTM, under the umbrella of the ADAC, has been well-received by the fans so far this year. We will be building on that success in 2024.

“We are also currently looking into the option of adding another European event outside of Germany to the 2024 calendar.”

The schedule avoids clashes with Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, the FIA World Endurance Championship and the Nürburgring 24.

2024 DTM Schedule:
April 26-28 – Oschersleben
May 24-26 – Lausitzring
June 7-9 – Zandvoort
July 5-7 – Norisring
Aug. 16-18 – Nürburgring
Sept. 6-8 – Sachsenring
Sept. 27-29 – Red Bull Ring
Oct. 18-20 – Hockenheim
