Imperiale Racing will defend its International GT Open title with a three-car Lamborghini Huracan GT3 program featuring a slate of factory and Lamborghini GT3 Junior drivers.

The Italian team confirmed its driver lineups on Tuesday, with Jeroen Mul and Giovanni Venturini in the newly numbered No. 63 entry, reigning Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America and World Final winner Riccardo Agostini and Rolex 24 at Daytona class winner Rik Breukers in the No. 25 car and Jia Tong Liang and Raffaele Giammaria set to pilot the No. 19 entry.

Factory ace Venturini will be seeking back-to-back GT Open titles following his 2017 crown.

“We are very pleased to confirm our presence in International GT Open after the exhilarating season last year,” said director of motorsport Giorgio Ferro.

“We know it will be extremely hard to repeat given the high level of competition but we’re absolutely we have a lineup to defend, combining talent with experience, and also thanks to the solid support of Lamborghini Squadra Corse.”

Head of Lamborghini Motorsport Giorgio Sanna added: “International GT Open is a championship that we at Lamborghini Squadra Corse look forward to, because it is growing a lot in terms of professionalism and presence on the grid.

“Our Huracán GT3 has won two consecutive titles, the last in 2017 thanks to Imperiale Racing.

“With three cars on the grid, an excellent lineup of Lamborghini drivers and the proven professionalism of the team, I am confident that the 2018 season will be full of important results.”
