GetSpeed Performance has announced its driver lineup for the Gulf 12 Hours, with Mercedes-AMG factory ace Luca Stolz headlining the crew.

Stolz will share the No. 77 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo with Fabian Schiller and Al Faisal Al Zubair for the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli season finale on Dec. 11.

The German driver, who won the season-opening Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, is fourth in the IGTC drivers’ standings, sitting 25 points behind leader Daniel Juncadella and also chasing fellow Mercedes-AMG works drivers Jules Gounon and Raffaele Marciello.

GetSpeed, which is the first Mercedes-AMG outfit to confirm its drivers for the race at Yas Marina Circuit, is making its Gulf 12 Hours debut with a single-car effort.

The Nürburgring-based squad finished second at the Nürburgring 24 and the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa earlier this year.

Schiller formed part of the N24 lineup with Adam Christodoulou and Maximilian Goetz, while Stolz was involved in the Spa effort alongside his Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup co-driver Steijn Schothorst and Goetz.

Al Zubair, who competes with Al Manar Racing backing, shared a Haupt Racing Team Mercedes-AMG wtih Schiller in the Silver Cup class of GTWC Europe Endurance Cup.

The Omani racer and Schiller also recently made a cameo with GetSpeed at the International GT Open season finale, where they won the opening race.

“We are constantly looking for new challenges,” said GetSpeed team principal Adam Osieka.

“The Gulf 12 Hours have developed into a very good event over the past 10 years. Almost three dozen GT3 cars will take part on the fascinating Formula 1 circuit in Abu Dhabi.

“We compete to win. After our very good performance in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring and in Spa-Francorchamps, we see good chances of continuing our run in long-distance races this year.

“I’m convinced that we can have a say about victory. Even if it’s the premiere for us and the competition is tough – we don’t shy away from sporting competition.”

GetSpeed is running one of the nine Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos that are on the latest version of the Gulf 12 Hours entry list.

2 Seas Motorsport, GruppeM Racing, MP Racing, RAM Racing, SPS Automotive Performance and SunEnergy1 Racing are also set to represent the German marque, which secured the IGTC manufacturers’ title by winning the Indianapolis 8 Hour.
