BMW Motorsport has revealed the names of the works drivers that will compete in this year’s 44th running of the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

Schubert Motorsport and Rowe Racing will run two new BMW M6 GT3 cars each, with support from BMW Motorsport. A total of 11 works drivers will be part of the 16-man lineup for the two German squads.

John Edwards, Jens Klingman, Lucas Luhr and Martin Tomczyk will share the cockpit on the first Schubert Motorsport BMW, with Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn, Jörg Müller and Marco Wittmann getting behind the wheel of the team’s second car.

Rowe Racing replaces Marc VDS Racing Team as a works-supported team at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, resulting in a number of drivers that raced for the Belgian team now joining Rowe Racing.

In the team’s first M6 GT3 Nick Catsburg, Markus Palttala, Richard Westbrook and Klaus Graf will share driving duties.

Recently announced Rowe Racing drivers Philipp Eng and Alexander Sims will share their car with Maxime Martin and Dirk Werner.

BMW Motorsport also announced Walkenhorst is set to compete with two BMW M6 GT3s. BMW DTM driver Tom Blomqvist will join the team, while Victor Bouveng and Christian Krognes were also confirmed to race for Walkenhorst.
