BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert has topped Free Practice for this weekend’s Nürburgring 24.

The No. 20 BMW Z4 GT3 of Dominik Baumann, Claudia Hurtgen, Jens Klingmann and Martin Tomczyk was quickest with a best time of 8:29.079, outpacing the No. 29 Audi Team WRT Audi R8 LMS by 0.394 seconds.

The No. 26 Marc VDS BMW made it two Z4s within the top three, followed by the No. 2 Black Falcon Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 in fourth.

Falken Motorsports’ Porsche 911 GT3-R completed the top-five overall and in the SP9 GT3 class, which occupied the top-ten quickest times of the two-hour session.

The No. 9 Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003C, competing in the SP-X category, was 11th quickest overall and only six seconds slower than the pace-setting BMW’s time.

The session was run under mostly cloudy skies, with rain having started to fall in the closing minutes.
