FFF Racing Team has announced that it will contest its maiden Nürburgring 24 this year with a crew of four Lamborghini Squadra Corse factory drivers.

Andrea Caldarelli, Marco Mapelli, Giacomo Altoe and 2020 runner-up Mirko Bortolotti will drive for the 2019 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS title-winning squad in the Nordschleife enduro, which is scheduled to take place on June 5-6.

FFF is running a single Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo in the N24, the associated qualifying race and the NLS season, all in partnership with tire company Hankook.

Altoe and team principal Caldarelli are both set for their N24 debuts, while Bortolotti achieved a podium result on his first appearance in the event last year driving for Audi Sport Team Car Collection.

Mapelli has the most N24 experience of the group, having driven Konrad Motorsport’s Lamborghini three times in addition to prior outings in Audi and Porsche machinery.

FFF Racing Team sampled the Nordschleife endurance racing environment last year with a single-car entry into the six-hour NLS enduro for Caldarelli, Mapelli and Altoe.

Caldarelli and Altoe also drove a Pixum Team Adrenalin Motorsport BMW 325i in another NLS event as part of their respective routes to obtaining Nordschleife race licenses.

FFF Racing Team’s lineup announcement locks in the first full Lamborghini works driver crew to compete in the N24.

“I’m really happy to announce our driver line-up for the 2021 Nürburgring racing program,” said FFF team owner Fu Songyang.

“Together with Hankook, I’m sure we can aim to an incredible season, pairing two great entities of motorsport.

“The Nürburgring 24 will be a new challenge for us, but we are ready for the challenge with our Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo and a quartet of top drivers.

“All of them raced already with us, so I’m glad to welcome back Mirko, who raced for us in Macao, Giacomo, who made half of 2019 season with FFF in the Silver Cup, and for sure our champions Andrea and Marco.

“I’m impressed too by the aesthetics of this car, which perfectly represents our brand identity.”
