This weekend’s third round of the GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS season at Queensland Raceway will be contested by 14 cars.

It marks a reduction of one car compared to the previous round at Sydney Motorsport Park, with two regular entries missing: the No. 88 Melbourne Performance Centre Audi of Steve Brooks and Ryan Wood and the Black Wolf Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.

Black Wolf Am class pair Shane Woodman and Ben Schoots announced at the beginning of the season their plans to miss the Queensland round.

Returning to the field this weekend is the 111 Racing Mercedes-AMG of Darren Currie and Grant Donaldson, who were entered for the opening event of the season at Phillip Island but finally withdrew from both races, keeping the Am class at three cars.

Also joining the grid is an additional Trophy class entry, a 991-generation Porsche 911 GT3 R run by Tigani for Luke Youlden and Nathan Halstead.

It means the Queensland round with feature two Trophy cars, the other being the KFC-sponsored No. 24 MPC Audi of Paul Stokell and Gary Higgon.

The extra Trophy class car also gives Porsche representation on the grid amid the continued absence of the EMA Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R.

A total of nine cars will be going for overall honors in the Pro-Am class, with the most notable driver change being Aaron Love stepping in for brother Jordan alongside Steve Wyatt in the No. 77 Arise Racing GT Ferrari 296 GT3, as previously announced.

Elsewhere, David Wall is replacing Tony D’Alberto aboard the Wall Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2, joining Adrian Deitz at the wheel.

Broc Feeney stays aboard the No. 888 MPC Audi with Brad Schumacher for a third consecutive event, with Will Brown yet to make an outing so far in 2025.

Practice for the Queensland round begins on Friday, with qualifying and the opening race taking place on Saturday before the finale on Sunday.
