Capacity Grid for First-Ever Nashville Street Race

A capacity field of 25 cars are set for this weekend’s inaugural GT America powered by AWS round on the streets of Nashville.

The entry list, featuring GT2, GT3 and GT4-spec machinery, will mark SRO America’s first street race since Long Beach 2019 and the first-ever for the single-driver Bronze-rated driver series, which debuted earlier this year.

Supporting the NTT IndyCar Series weekend, the pair of 40-minute races will be contested on a 12-turn, 2.17-mile circuit overlooking Nashville’s downtown riverbanks. 

A total of 11 cars are entered in GT3, led by a trio of Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos from DXDT Racing for George Kurtz, David Askew and CJ Moses.

After contesting the Circuit of The Americas round in a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo, GMG Racing’s James Sofronas has switched to an Audi R8 LMS ultra for this weekend.

It is part of a four-car overall effort for the California-based team that includes Kyle Washington (Porsche 911 GT3 R), Jason Bell (Aston Martin Vantage GT4) and the first outing of the year for Elias Sabo’s Audi R8 LMS GT2 machine.

Points leader Charlie Luck will be at the wheel of his Wright Racing Porsche as well as Brendon Iribe, fresh off last weekend’s TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, in the Inception Racing McLaren 720S GT3.

Jason Harward and Jeff Burton bring Lamborghini machinery to the race while Scuderia Corsa makes its SRO America return with a Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 for Bret Curtis.

Eight manufacturers are represented in GT4, including the first-ever street race for the Toyota GR Supra GT4, entered by Forbush Performance for Matt Forbush.

Track action for the Music City Grand Prix gets underway on Friday with a pair of practice sessions prior to qualifying on Saturday afternoon and Race 1 at 7:25 p.m. local time that evening.

Race 2 is set for the green flag on Sunday at 2:45 p.m., with both races streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.

Nashville marks a standalone event for GT America, with SRO America’s other series not in action over the weekend.
