Thompson Leads Toyota Front Row Sweep for Lone Star Enduro

Parker Thompson pipped Tyler Gonzalez to give a Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 all front row for this evening’s Pirelli GT4 America Lone Star Enduro at Circuit of The Americas.

Thompson, in the Pro-Am class No. 69 JTR Motorsports Engineering Toyota, reeled off a best lap of 2:12.170 in the 15-minute minute qualifying session to edge out RAFA Racing Team’s Gonzalez by 0.143 seconds.

Gonzalez took Silver class pole honors in the process, ahead of the No. 4 JMF Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo of Michael Ortmann.

The No. 33 Blackdog Racing McLaren Artura GT4 of Michael Cooper was fourth, with Nolasport driver Mathias Leist completing the top-five in his No. 23 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

Am class pole honors went to the No. 606 Thunder Bunny Racing Toyota of Allen Patten who qualified seventh overall, behind the Pro-Am class No. 9 ACI Motorsports Porsche of Kay van Berlo.

The Lone Star Enduro gets underway at 5 p.m. CST, with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.
