Josh Green set the pace in the second and final Pirelli GT4 America practice session prior to qualifying for tomorrow evening’s second annual Lone Star Enduro at Circuit of The Americas.
Green, in the Pro-Am class No. 94 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 EVO, topped Friday afternoon’s 45-minute session, thanks to a 2:14.606 lap time.
It was 0.017 seconds faster than the No. 28 Fast Track Racing BMW of Nate Cicero, who ended up second quickest by one of the narrowest of margins.
Thomas Merrill made a late-session improvement to third quickest in the No. 15 Archangel Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo.
The Silver class No. 3 JMF Motorsports Aston Martin of Jesse Webb was fourth quickest overall, also in a competitive time set early in the session.
The No. 82 BimmerWorld BMW of Tyler McQuarrie and Matheus Leist-driven No. 23 Nolasport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport completed the overall top-six.
The Am class was again led by the No. 606 Thunder Bunny Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2, which placed 18th overall in the 29-car field.
The 45-minute scheduled session ran without any major incidents until the final five minutes when a red flag came out for lightning in the area.
The session did not restart.
Qualifying gets underway Saturday at 10:10 a.m. CST, ahead of the 5 p.m. CST race start time in the evening.
