Ginetta drivers Charlie Robertson and Tom Hibbert scored another GT4 European Series Northern Cup victory at in an incident-filled second race of the weekend at the Brands Hatch circuit.

Driving the No. 100 Ginetta G55 GT4, Robertson took the start and immediately pulled away from Tolman Motorsport’s Joe Osborne and Las Moras Racing’s Duncan Huisman.

That advantage disappeared when the safety car was deployed, after the two Allied Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MRs collided and crashed into the barriers. The race was restarted when the pit window opened.

Osborne briefly took the lead when Robertson made his pit stop, but after the Tolman driver made his stop, the Ginetta moved back into the lead.

Robertson’s co-driver Hibbert was unable to pull away from Max Koebolt in the remaining laps, as the safety car was deployed several times in order to recover cars that had gone off.

Race control red-flagged the race with just minutes left on the clock, after the No. 222 TFT Racing Porsche Cayman CS MR GT4 had crashed.

The race was not restarted and Hibbert and Robertson were declared winners after 29 laps, scoring their second race victory on their debut weekend in the series.

Ricardo van der Ende and Koebolt claimed second place with the No. 8 Ekris Motorsport Ekris M4 GT4, with Academy Motorsport drivers Will Moore and Matt Nicoll-Jones taking the final Pro-Am podium position.
